In the spring of 2023, our lives—and our backyard—were forever changed by the arrival of our adorable dachshund, Cashew. What was meant to be a peaceful day in the yard quickly turned into an adventure of chaos when she slipped through the gaps in our fence and took off on a sprint down the street.
What happened next was nothing short of comical: Cashew dashed through the neighborhood, weaving through streets and woods, leaving us scrambling to catch her. While we eventually managed to corral her (after an exhausting chase), the reality hit us hard: how were we going to keep her safe in the future?
